At the moment we are still renovating. When the house is ready, it will already be rented out, but everything around the house will not be as in the description.

Holiday villa “Casa do Soito”…

… is a two-storey property with a garden with an orchard, a swimming pool and a great view. But it has more to offer…

On the ground floor, there is a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. The upper floor, on the other hand, has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a relaxing room in old Portuguese-style. Finally, there is a garden with fruit trees and several terraces, a barbecue and an authentic pizza oven. There is also an outdoor room, a room with table tennis and a swimming pool.

The house was built in the 40s. Before we could rent out the house, we first completely renovated it and transformed it into a comfortable luxury holiday villa for 10 people. In doing so, we have tried to preserve the authentic style as much as possible. Because of the space in and around this house, it is very suitable for a family gathering, a team outing or a group holiday.
The house is in a very convenient location. Both nature and the centre of Lousã are easily accessible on foot. The castle and its surroundings are also within walking distance.
As you can see, the holiday villa “Casa do Soito” offers many possibilities.

Villa “Casa do Soito” is equipped with solar panels and a small private energy storage. Via a panel you can see how much energy is being generated and how much energy you are using.

Towels and other linens are provided, as well as shampoo and shower gel. Furthermore, this property has access to WIFI by means of a login code and a washing machine.

Of course, there is the possibility to park your car on your own property.

The ground floor

The spacious bright living room has a beautiful view over the valley. In addition, there are balcony doors to the terrace in front of the house where you can enjoy the setting sun in the cool evening hours. There is also a seating area for a cosy get-together. There is also a television, books and board games to bridge the time in the house in a relaxed way. In the cold months, you can sit comfortably around the woodstove.

In the kitchen, there is a countertop with cooking facilities. In addition to the normal kitchen inventory, there is also a microwave, a refrigerator, a toaster, a hand blender, a kettle and a coffee maker. A dishwasher is also provided. There is also a dining area with a pull-out table where 10 people can eat at the same time. The kitchen has a door to the outside that gives access to the garden, the outside room and the terraces behind the house. Finally, we ensure that the kitchen linen, such as towels, tea towels and dishcloths, is available in the kitchen.

In addition to a shower, the bathroom on the ground floor also has a toilet and a sink with hot and cold water and a mirror.

The first floor

bedrooms

Each bedroom can accommodate 2 people. In 3 rooms there are 2 single beds that can be pushed together to create a double bed. The bedroom with the bathroom ensuite and the corner room has a comfortable sofa bed that can be made up for both 1 and 2 people. Of course, we make sure that the beds are made when you arrive.
Each room has the possibility to store clothes.
The ensuite bathroom has a toilet, a shower and a sink with hot and cold running water and a mirror.

In addition to a toilet and sink with a mirror, the general bathroom also has a bathtub with a shower. Here too we ensure that the linen such as bath towels and washcloths are present.

The in-between-room

In addition to the bedrooms and the bathroom, there is another space on the first floor, the in-between room, where you can just be. There are chairs and a wood stove here. On the wall is a bar table with high chairs. There is also a small countertop with a tap with cold water.

The garden of villa “Casa do Soito”

Behind the house is a covered area with a seating area for relaxing. There is also a space to park any motorbikes or bicycles. In addition, outside is an oven to bake pizzas in a traditional way. You can see in Jamie Oliver’s video how to use the pizza oven.
Finally, a staircase leads you to the orchard with fruit trees, the upper terrace with a barbecue and the swimming pool. From here you can enjoy the setting sun and the beautiful view during a barbecue or during a refreshing swim.

In this house, we have the possibility to add a cot. There is also a high chair and toys. The sockets are covered for children.

optionally

Optionally, we can offer a starter food package. This way you don’t have to go shopping immediately on the first day. In addition to coffee, tea and bread, this package also includes fruit juice, cheese and/or cold cuts, jams, sandwiches, fresh free-range eggs and a bottle of drinking water.

On the day of arrival, you can check in after 15:00 PM. We welcome you and show you the house. Of course, we try to answer all your questions and then we hand you the key after which you can enjoy a wonderful holiday in villa “Casa do Soito” and in Lousã and its surroundings.

On the day of departure, the house must be empty again at 10 o’clock so that we have enough time to clean the house for the next guests.
We expect the house to be left broom clean, we do the thorough cleaning.

Both in the summer and in the winter months we offer this beautiful holiday villa “Casa do Soito” for rent in its entirety.
In the winter months, however, we also have the option of renting the rooms separately. The house is then partially closed. We do keep the in-between room available for general use. Here you can sit comfortably around the wood-burning stove. In addition, the bedrooms can be heated by means of a central heating system.
